LIVE SOUND
Fern Silva / Doron Sadja
The geo-political rise and fall of a future American hero, a vague visionary representation of the assassination of our new president. Conceptually influenced by the 8mm Zapruder film of the assassination of JFK, which made waves around the world, the importance of motion picture. Sound will play a part in this by creating overwhelming psychological collages through feedback, mutated instruments, extreme frequencies, dense splashes of light, color, texture, & action.

“ARCHITECTURE OF THE SUN”
16 MM / LIVE SOUND
Brittany Gravely & Jennifer Pipp // Ken Linehan, Rick Prior,
& Sean Andrews
A common affinity for scientific-nostalgic-hallucinatory-mystical-types of sounds, feelings, & imagery leads the way for this group. A collage of electronic-analog sounds respond to sequential images while projections are modified by hand with filters, focus & prisms in response to psychedelic sound. Depending on strategy, but mostly telepathy & synchronicity, the performance unfolds … strange at times, capricious, and surprising to both performers and the audience.
Organizers:
Brittany Gravely received her MFA from the School of the
Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She
wrote, directed, edited, and designed sound for her last film ‘Introduction To
Living In A Closed System’ which went on to be shown at the New York Film
Festival, the Images Festival in Canada, Pacific Film Archive, Videoex in
Switzerland, & New York Underground.
The Lef Foundation gave her a production grant for her last film ‘Blood
of The Earthworm’. She currently resides in Boston and works in administration
at Documentary Educational Resources, an educational video and film
distributor.
Jenn Pipp graduated from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She now finds herself entrenched in the Boston experimental film scene as tech/artist. She tries to mix and match media as much as possible, especially to reduce and reuse materials, and is prone to breaking the rules.
Ken Linehan, Rick Prior, & Sean Andrews are ‘The Glass Shivers’ They perform telepathic feats of improvised electro-acoustic conjuring, employing a variety of synthesizers, acoustic sound sources and vocal incantations to draw themselves and their listeners into transcendent state of otherworldly resonance. The Glass Shivers have performed music together over the last 15 years relying on the close association and long history of its players to listen, adapt, and thrive within the uncertainties of their own formal structure.
“BLUSH”

Ramsay
Abandon all conventions associated with performance as the boundaries between audience & artist are blurred in a roomful of film projections, sounds, contemporary dance & audience participation. Driven by fascination and obsession of all mediums, the visual language is expanded upon expressing the beauty of film, cinema as experience.

multimedia artist from Ohio, living & working in Brooklyn & Manhattan.
She is currently earning her MFA t Parsons where she is working primarily in
the field of sonic arts, film, and the incorporation of the mediums in
