EXPANDING TIME WITH THE PHO-TEC 16MM HIGH SPEED CAMERA

LEARN TO SHOOT IN SLOW MOTION ON 16MM FILM + PRESENT YOUR FILM AT OUR SCREENING PARTY

In this workshop participants will be introduced to the possibilities of shooting in high speeds to create very slow motion films on 16MM film.  Each individual participant will plan and shoot their own slow motion film with 100 feet of film. Curriculum will cover the basics of loading and operating the PHO-TEC High-Speed camera that is capable of shooting up to 12,000 frames per second (!)  This means you could chose to film your 100’ roll making 1 second play out over 3 minutes! All film, equipment and processing services will be provided.  SLOW MOTION!   Finished projects will also be presented after the conclusion of the course at our screening party at Anthology Film Archives.

INCLUDES: 1 classroom instruction session with access to the PHOTEC High-Speed 16mm camera. 100 feet of Double perforated Kodak Vision3 500T Motion Picture Film, Lab processing and fully timed work print on 100’ of 3383.  2K transfer of finished film. Course packet with technical information, online hosting of finished film, local & international film festival entry waivers.
